Theo Coleman
Chief Executive Officer, Co-Founder A graduate of the University of Oklahoma in 2008 with a BA, Theo began his career as a digital imager working in the courthouse. After a promotion to landman later that year, Theo learned the ins and outs of the oil and gas industry in Oklahoma running full title, acquiring leases and providing testimony at the Oklahoma Corporation Commission as an expert land witness for a number of clients. Before starting Rock Creek Land & Energy in May of 2017, Theo was the Vice President of Business Development of his former company. He's an active member of AAPL and OCAPL. When not grinding away at work, you can find him at home with his wife, Alli, and dog-child, Glavine. Kory Cook
Land Manager Kory is a 2010 graduate of Oklahoma State University. He started in oil & gas later that year working in courthouses across Western Oklahoma and the Texas Panhandle. Throughout his career, Kory has worked in many aspects of the industry including preparing and supervising the production of HBP ownership reports, large acquisition due diligence, mineral leasing, and providing expert testimony at the Oklahoma Corporation Commission. As Land Manager of Rock Creek, a role he has held since May of 2017, he supervises the day-to-day projects of the field landmen and oversees the company’s projects throughout Oklahoma and the Permian Basin. He is an active member of both AAPL and OCAPL. When he’s not at the office, he enjoys spending time with his wife, Lakan, and their two daughters, Rowan and Sloane. Hunter Folmar
Title Supervisor Hunter graduated from Oklahoma State University in 2008. He made his way into the oil and gas industry running title from the field, gaining experience in Oklahoma, Texas, Kansas and Wyoming. In 2016 Hunter moved in-house as a training supervisor, teaching his craft to younger landmen and honing the skills of the experienced ones. Hunter joined the Rock Creek team in May of 2017 as its Title Supervisor, reviewing and editing ownership and due diligence reports in addition to training and updating Rock Creek's tools that the title landmen use on a daily basis. When not wrapped up in title, Hunter enjoys spending time with his wife, Ginger, stepdaughter, Peyton, and their three dogs. |
Jeff Morris, CPL
Chief Operating Officer, Co-Founder Jeff graduated from the University of Oklahoma in 2002 with a BBA. He started his career as a landman in 2003, performing title, curative, leasing and Oklahoma Corporation Commission regulatory preparation and testimony. Since early on in Jeff’s career he has been in charge of every facet of a land services company. Prior to co-founding Rock Creek Land & Energy in May of 2017, Jeff was the Vice President of Operations of his former company. He's an active member of AAPL and OCAPL. His time away from the office is spent with Sunny, his wife, and four children. Ben Giffhorn
Regulatory Supervisor Ben, a Tulsa native, graduated from the University of Oklahoma in 2006 with a BBA in Marketing. After a career in sales, Ben entered the land sector of oil and gas in January of 2012 as an imager. After a promotion to landman in October of 2013, Ben started running title and shortly thereafter was introduced to the regulatory side of land. Ben joined Rock Creek in May of 2017 as Regulatory Supervisor. His responsibilities include preparing requests for Oklahoma Corporation Commission applications, identifying and locating respondents, supervising other landmen in the preparation of such and testifying as an expert land witness before the OCC. Nick Green
Image Supervisor Nick graduated with a BS in Psychology from Southern Nazarene University and shortly followed that up with a Masters with focus in Management. His professional career started in restaurant management working as a corporate trainer and manager with Hal Smith Restaurant Group from 1998-2010. Nick moved on to work with a local developer in the Oklahoma City area as a closing coordinator for six years before making a career change, joining Rock Creek Land & Energy in May of 2017 as its Image Supervisor. He is in charge of the entire imaging team tasked with preparing abstracts for in-house use using the county courthouse records as well as online resources. Nick and his team have also become proficient in providing on-site well inspections in addition to other support functions for Rock Creek's land staff including fair-market value research. |
